Rehearsal/ costume schedule

As we have been working well in class towards the show there are only 2 extra rehearsals that everyone MUST attend. I hope that you can appreciate that given that it is a large show this is a very small amount of time to give up.

Sunday 10th July at Stanground college sports centre (in the sports hall) 10am-1pm. No costume is needed. Just bring a bottle of water and wear normal dance clothing. We will be doing a complete show run through on this day and so it is vital that your child attends

Friday 15th July at the Key theatre, 4pm-7pm. Please arrive promptly to ensure finishing on time. Again no costume is needed. This is a technical rehearsal so it is vital that your child attends as we will be doing spacing on stage along with sound and lighting. As the whole cast is there for both shows each group will perform 2 out of their 4 dances. If each group ran all of their dances on stage we would have to be there for 6 hours which I hope you can appreciate is just not ideal, hence the current arrangement. It will be important that your child pays particular attention whilst watching other groups so they can pick up any notes that may be relative to them. Please register in the bar area upstairs before going through to the auditorium. Please collect from outside the front entrance. We will bring the children down to you a group at a time.

If you are in the afternoon show you will need to be at the theatre between 1:00-1:30 and we will finish at approximately 5:00pm. If you are in the evening show you will need to arrive by 6:00pm and we will finish at approx 9:30pm. At the end of each show children will be signed out. Parents should meet the children in the front entrance reception area. I ask that you be patient as it will take a little time to get everyone back to their parent/carer, but will of course be done as quick as possible. The youngest children will be brought out first and then in groups by age. You will need to bring all costume items and arrive with at least hair done. I suggest that younger ones arrive with makeup done also as this is something they will not be able to do themselves and I will not have time to do everyone’s. A lot of time and money has gone into making pieces for your child to wear so please ensure they take care of anything borrow. Such items will be signed in and out and charges will be made if this is not done. No food or drink is to be consumed around costumes.

As you are representing Danzfusion I urge the importance of good behaviour and respect towards the theatre and staff.

 Please make sure all costume pieces HAVE NAMES WRITTEN clearly on the labels. The children will be responsible for keeping all of their belongings together in a bag as the room supervisors will not be able to do this for each child. Please also initial any dance shoes to avoid them getting mixed up. There will be 1-2 supervisors per room (depending on dressing room size). All cast must stay in their dressing room at all times other than when on stage. No one is permitted to leave the backstage area throughout the duration of the show including the interval.

 In regards to costumes I will require to see certain pieces in class time. This letter is a general notice to all students; please look at the relative sections. This is as follows:

 Squad

 Monday 27th June- entire doop costume including shoes and accessories
 Monday 4th July- beautiful monster costume
 Monday 11th july- please wear leotard and leggings-I will bring skirts and tabards

 Weds 4:30/ Thurs 4:30/ Fri 4:00 (laura’s class)

 As your costumes are very simple and I am providing various items I will only need to see a couple of things. Children can come in their costumes so not to risk losing any items when changing etc.

 29th/30th June/1st July – right round costume.

6th/ 7th/ 8th July– fight for this love harems trousers, red socks, ribbons.I suggest bringing the ribbons in a small bag so I can show the children how to do these in class. (wear any black top)

as I am providing a few items I do not need to see these such as army jackets/ shiny leggings etc.

 30th June/ 1st July- Bad boys costume
7th,8th July- Little less conversation

 Thurs 6:30/ Fri 5:00pm

 I do not need to see bad romance as I have these pieces. I will bring in masks for the girls to try on. I don’t need to see bleeding love costume either as it is simple and I trust that the jogging bottoms are easy enough to have sorted.

30th June/ 1st July- Club can’t handle me. We will be cutting the hoodies in this class.
7th/ 8th July- Blood on the dancefloor
