UK Street Dance Championships

A selection of the adult group entered into the UK Street Dance championships in October 2008, coming an impressive 4th in the adult crew divison. An adult and children’s crew competed in last years competition on sunday 25th October 2009 who came 3rd and 5th in their divisions.

Congratulations to Danzfusion who competed again this year. The showzone group came away with a medal coming third in their category.

Groups are judged on technical difficultly, artistic performance, attitude, originality and musical interpretation. The competition has been judged by Del Mak, Rie Fujii, Wendy Dow and Xavi Monreal over the past few years, with new guest judge Tommy Franzen from BBC1’s “So you think you can dance” this year.

The day is filled with solo freestyle battles and group performances aswell as workshops and an evening showcase. The event is held locally at The Cresset, Peterborough. More information on day passes, times and a schedule will follow closer to the event. Please follow the link below to access this information.
